HeyHi Studios puts a company’s brand inside the AI tools its staff already use, so the posts, decks and postcards that come back look like the company. It’s my company, and I built the brand first: the name, the identity, the voice, Hans, the campaign, a brand portal and heyhistudios.com.
Hey, hi. It’s how every ask at work starts, usually at someone’s desk, usually around 4:47. The name is that greeting, and the company exists so nobody has to make the walk.
Naming
02Identity
Written fast. Read in a second.
The logo is written the way you’d write a note on a sticky: quick, upright and leaning forward. One line in it rises at 23.1 degrees, and that angle runs through everything, from the underline under a word to the tilt of a postcard on a desk.

The rising lineEverywhere
Hi Pink and Spruce. Never pink on white.
Pink is the loud one and Spruce does the reading. Pink never sits on white, so it always has something to stand on. Click a color to copy it.
Headlines
Antipoda Black
Short lines that end with a period. When one word matters, it gets circled, the way you’d do it with a pen.
Reading
Aa
Instrument Sans
Everything you read. Plain, open and easy at small sizes, so the headline gets to be the loud one.
Printer picks up at 5.
03 Hans
Every company has a Hans.
He’s the creative guy. He has the logo, the fonts and the only file that opens. He isn’t the problem. He’s just at lunch, and the whole office is waiting on him.
Hans gives the brand someone to point at without pointing at anyone. Every client already knows him.

Character
04 The campaign
Things said at every front desk.
The campaign runs on what people say when the brand person isn’t around. Hans has the logo. Nobody reads page 47. Your brand guide has never met your front desk.
Out of home, print
05 The site
Set the brand. Then try to wreck it.
heyhistudios.com is the sales tool. A clock in the corner counts down to the printer’s pickup, and the postcard maker lets anyone set up a brand, lock it, then play the staff member at 4:47. Pick a voice and the type, the icon and the words all change. Approve it and the same card comes out as a post and a story.
A dentist, set Classic. Polite. Dressed for the occasion.Home services, set Clean. Plain. Gets to the point.A restaurant, set Loud. Yelling, in a good way.
06 The brand portal
A brand guide nobody has to read.
The standards live in a portal instead of a PDF. It opens at 4:47 with Hans at lunch, and every section gives you something to do: tap the mark, copy a color, make a postcard, get the logo.
The page that makes the point is the one about sixty pages in a folder called Final.

07 Everyday work
The boring stuff, on brand.
HeyHi is about the work nobody puts in a case study: the Tuesday deck, the Saturday-hours post, the letter, the postcard in the envelope. So that’s where the brand had to hold up.
